Getting started

Install the Android beta, create your account, join a plan and add money.

Pending

The Android beta opens on 12 October 2026. Until then these steps describe the app being built. Each will be confirmed against the released APK.

What you need

  • An Android phone with Android 9 or newer (10 or newer recommended). iPhone comes later.
  • The phone signed in to a Google account, with a screen lock (PIN, fingerprint or face).
  • Google Password Manager as the passkey provider. Plans needs the WebAuthn PRF extension, which some other password managers do not support. If Android asks where to save the passkey, choose Google Password Manager.

No SIM, VPN or local bank account is needed.

Install

Download

On the phone, open plans.0xo.in/download and download plans.apk. The page shows the file's SHA-256 so you can check it.

Allow the install

Open the file. The first time, Android asks you to allow your browser to install unknown apps: tap Settings, allow it, then go back and tap Install.

Play Protect

Plans isn't in the Play Store yet. If Google Play Protect says the developer is unrecognised, tap More details, then Install anyway.

There is also a separate test build, plans-test.apk, that runs on Monad testnet with free test dollars. It installs alongside the real app. See For judges.

Create your account

Pending Open Plans, tap Create account and confirm with your screen lock. Enter a name and pick your country. That one prompt is the whole sign-up: the passkey it creates is your account.

  • On a new phone, or after clearing the app's data, tap I already use Plans and confirm with the same passkey. Your account, plans, balances and encrypted receipts come back. Nothing is stored on our servers.
  • The app always tries to restore before offering to create, so you never get a second account by accident.

Join a plan

Pending Tap the invite link someone shared in your group chat (plans.0xo.in/j/…). It opens Plans and shows the plan: its name, dates, who's in, and the rules in plain words. Tap Join with fingerprint.

If you are new, that single fingerprint creates your account and joins the plan, in one onchain transaction. Optional extras ride along in the same transaction: a first deposit, your safety-net allowance and your encryption key.

The link opened in the browser?

The page has an Open in Plans button. You can also copy the link and paste it into Plans › Join. The secret part of an invite (after #) never leaves your phone: browsers do not send URL fragments to servers.

Add money

Pending Plans has no card or bank top-up in the beta. You can get digital dollars (AUSD) in two ways:

  1. A friend sends you a link. Organisers often send each member a small claim link (plans.0xo.in/c/…). Open it and confirm with your fingerprint.
  2. From an exchange. Send AUSD on Monad to your Plans address (Profile).

Then open the plan and tap Add money. Type an amount in your own currency; the app shows the digital-dollar amount and the reference rate.

The safety net

When you join you choose a small safety net: an allowance the pot may collect from your Plans balance at settle-up if you owe the group money. It is an ERC-2612 permit, capped at the amount you choose. Anything you owe above it is recorded as a debt you can pay later. See Settle-up maths.
